| There is no factory forced induction support for the VQ and as such there is a very limited (in comparison) aftermarket forced induction support for the VQ, especially in a FWD application. A supercharger pulley, intake and downpipe will very quickly have you driving an incredibly fast 3800 powered beast. From an engine output point of view, the 3800 is currently far and above much easier to modify in FWD or RWD form than the VQ. Secondly, the 3800 has long been proven a great platform for forced induction - the Buick Grand National (and GNX) are some of the easiest to modify for big HP. That baby is all iron, and will take loads of boost. The VQ may be the longest running on the top 10 list, but it did not qualify as one of the 10 best engines of the 20th century :) [ http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ward%27s_10_Best_Engines#20th_Century ] [ http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/GM_3800_engine ]
